Obama Derangement Syndrome: Where Are We?

In light of the allegations of a number of people on this forum, including David Wong, DavidJames, and most likely a few more Davids, I believe we need an investigation. How many conservatives here suffer from ODS, and what can be done to alleviate it?

The natural place to start such an inquiry would be the definition of BDS, the first identified disorder in the Derangement Syndrome family. Quoth the eminent psychologistispeechwriter Charles Krauthammer:

The Delusional Dean

So we now have conspiracy theories, allegations of crass opportunism (I guess, not sure), and yet another occasion of Godwin’s Law in action - in short, consternation at every little thing that could be related to President Bush in some way. Do the alleged symptoms of ODS parallel these examples, with regard to President Obama?

Obamateurism of the Day

Granted, the word mispronounced was Orion, but that’s kind of reaching for documentation of amateurish behavior.

Actually, all the attempts to use TOTUS to seriously damage the President are examples of ODS. I can understand poking fun at it, but using it to bludgeon his intellectual reputation is a bit much.

This in response to Obama’s Speech: To Keep Afghanistan from Becoming Vietnam, I Hereby Propose the Strategy of "Vietnamization" (and yes, that guy is a birther)

Okay, granted, POTUS didn’t exactly propose a great strategy that time. But the above comment sounds a tad harsh. Conclusion: of course, ODS is alive and well.

Here’s the pressing question, though: when does criticism of 44 become illegitimate by straying into the realm of derangement? Perhaps our resident psychologists can provide an answer.
