Lightning strikes ground next to couple having sex outside

Randy Jens Gottlieb, 36, and Lisa Gruhn, 28, pulled into a parking space on a busy highway in Westphalia and decided to head into the nearby bushes for privacy, the Sun reports.

Their lovemaking was interrupted when a lightning bolt struck the ground inches away from the randy couple.

Afterward, they ran for cover in the torrential downpour, but lost their way among the foliage in the undergrowth. A passing motorist called police after spotting the naked pair blundering along the highway.

Officers found the shivering pair and helped them into dry clothes before escorting them home. They both were unhurt.

The passing motorist, though, said he was shocked.

No lightning rod jokes, please.
